Beautiful hotel with very authentic charm. Our family superior room was spacious enough for our family with two kids (5/8y). The stuff was very friendly. For breakfast there was a buffet with big variety of Asian and western food. As the hotel is very open and you enter the rooms through the courtyard it was always a little bit chilly. But in the room it was possible to heat with the air condition, so it was ok.

The hotel is so special, not only the siheyuan style but also they are council pictures of small decorations around the place. His death was extremely friendly helpful and went out of their way to help me. There was once the girl in the front desk paid my Didi for me using her WeChat; another time I had trouble getting confirmed for a Didi ride, the manager literally walked 10 minutes with me to the Main Street while patiently guiding the Didi driver to meet us at the modified pick up spot. I am all it’s 5 star service in and out. They also offer free, Chinese traditional costume for free for you to take pictures within the hotel - we had a lot of fun taking pictures around those beautiful corners in the patio. I will definitely come back if I am in Beijing again. Thanks for your wonderful service. 如上文说的,他们的服务超好很贴心,酒店干净漂亮,有特色,还有免费的传统服饰提供拍照。前台和经理真的特别帮忙。总之是一次非常愉快地stay. 五星好评!

The hotel is very cute and authentic, located on the heart of the vibrant Dangsi Hutong area. The staff is very kind and helpful and speaks good English (thanks Henry, Fan & co). There are plenty of restaurants, great craft beer bars and tourist attractions within a walking distance.

I checked-in at around 2:30 am. It had been a long and frustrating day. And I was very hungry! The receptionist right away took me to the kitchen and offered me a bag of croissants! She was so kind. I was anxious because I couldn’t find any ATMs that would accept my foreign-issued card. The receptionist was very helpful! Overall the hotel was just what I was looking for. What a gem! It’s down an alley in a cute neighborhood. It gave me an authentic look and feel of the country (the building is 200 years old but very well maintained). It’s charming and clean. I love the open courtyard. The staff were all so friendly and they all speak good English. The bed and the room were comfy. Very good service. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Also the subway is within close walking distance.

Very cosy hotel redesigned in the traditional old Qing-dynasty style. Beautifully decorated and all of the staff were friendly and kind. Popular among western travellers. Breakfast was ok, the bar was also very quaint and cosy. Our toilet wooden door ran out of alignment and could not be closed at all, and there were some minor cracks on the floor tiles, but these didn't affect our stay a lot. The building has been around more than 200 years old so these defects were not unexpected. Our 2 year old son loves the place! There are swinging chairs outside our room and very photo-worthy exhibits all around the hotel. Only downside is its location deeply in and along a narrow one-way alley, some online hailing cars do not want to drive in to pick up or drop us and we had to walk about 470m in and out. For first time travellers to Beijing, this hotel is a must-visit!
